Onun's Phobia

Onun's Phobia was a game jam project, made during Invictvs Game Jam 2023.
For this game, I worked in a team of two artist and four programmers. I was responsible with all the visual development of the videogame, concept art and final art, while the other team mate was responsible for all the in game animations. The theme of the Game Jam was "13" and we had to use a WebSocket API platform for game development support, where all messages were stringified JSON objects. The game had to be able to run in a Quixant.
Onun's Phobia is a two player, arcade game, that shows the story of this character, Nuno, who has to confront the personification of his fears (death and trypophobia). Each players would play or as the Fear or as Nuno, and fight each other.

This was the monster created for the game, inspired on the Mentor's fears, death and trypophobia. The objective was to mix this both fears in a monster design that would match with the game aesthetic.
